Father Bianco, who hails from Scranton, Pennsylvania, first came to Baltimore to study music at The Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University. While living downtown, he attended and served Mass at the Basilica of the Assumption, which led him to discern a call to the priesthood. He completed his seminary formation at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Ordained in 2005, Father Bianco’s first assignment was to the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen as Associate Pastor. He served for seven years as priest-secretary to Archbishop Lori before his appointment as Rector of the Cathedral in 2021.
