Those who cannot see Christ in the poor are atheists indeed.

Loaves and Fishes
The Cathedral Community has been faithfully participating in the Loaves & Fishes Ministry alongside the St. Ignatius Catholic Community to serve the poor and homeless of Baltimore City for many years. Every fourth week, Cathedral volunteers take turns shopping for food and supplies, preparing meals, and traveling down to Baltimore City to serve and connect with the poor and homeless.
As service is an expression of almsgiving – giving of our time, energy, and talents – this Lent, we wanted to highlight the Loaves & Fishes Ministry and the work they do for our city as an almsgiving opportunity at the Cathedral. We worked with our Loaves & Fishes volunteers to expand the Loaves & Fishes Ministry and created Loaves & Fishes Snack Packing, a community-oriented service opportunity for Cathedral Families.
Families are invited to take part in Loaves & Fishes Snack Packing by participating in the monthly Snack Packing events and / or by donating non-perishable snack items. If you are unable to participate in person or by contributing food times, please contact us to make a donation to support the Loaves & Fishes Ministry.
