| The
Cathedral has two active Brownie troops that provide
an opportunity for second and third grade girls to learn life-skills and
participate in activities such as community service, cultural
events and camping.
Our special projects and activities include:
A trip to the Flag House to learn about famous women from
Maryland, and the creation of a video portraying the lives of the
women. An afternoon hike for the girls and their dads. A
vocal concert for the retired School Sisters of Notre Dame. Attending
a performance of the Nutcracker. Creating thank you cards
for the FDNY. A main goal of scouting is to earn badges. Some
of the badges the Brownies work for are:
Science
Friends and Family
Citizenship
Crafts
