 The Committee's mission is to develop, monitor and update a technology vision and strategy for the Cathedral, in a way that is consistent with the committee's guiding principles, craft plans for technology projects that support this vision; advise the Parish Council and staff on implementation and funding requirements, provide expertise for oversight of approved projects, and ensure the ongoing maintenance, upgrade, and growth of Cathedral technology.

ACTIVITIES:

  1. Development and maintenance of a comprehensive web site for the Cathedral
  2. Development  and maintenance of a comprehensive web site for the School of the Cathedral
  3. Assembly of a network of Information Architects to gather and organize web content
  4. Address ongoing technology issues and opportunities

COMPLETED PROJECTS:

  1. Development of the Cathedral's first technology vision and guiding principles
  2. Development and implementation of Communication & Information Systems Plan and budget for Cathedral campus
  3. Development of requirements for a comprehensive Cathedral web site

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Leadership Team - Parishioners comfortable with development of technology strategy
Information Architects - Gather and organize web content for a specific ministry
Library and Information Management Professionals - Organizing and Archiving CMOQ information
Tech Corps - Teens enabling ministries to use technology more effectively

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: Commitment to technology as a ministry, understanding of technology as the means not the end, and the ability to commit time and energy to implementation schedules

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT: Varies

SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS: Monthly from 7:30 - 9:00 PM
