Volunteer Requirements:
Age:
Must be 15 years or older. Students under 15 can volunteer with a parent.
Job Description:
Volunteers can work as transportation provider, child sitter, house visitor, mentor, tutor, pen pal to residents on an on-going basis. Volunteers can work on one-day projects including landscaping, organizing storage space, taking residents on a field trip, providing an onsite picnic, sharing a craft or a skill, and painting.
Orientation:
Required, one-hour orientation.
Availability: After school on weekdays, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Vacation. Volunteers work on a one-time basis.

Volunteers work with the Special Friend Program that provides structured play activities to children in the shelter.

Required, one-hour orientation.
Availability: After school on weekdays, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Vacation. Volunteers can work on a one-time basis or commit to a regular schedule.

Job Description: Volunteers can get involved in a variety of projects such as serving as a greeter, preparing dinner meals with stock food items, volunteering at Kid’s Club on Saturdays from 12:00 – 2:00pm, facilitating a workshop, or helping with arts and crafts.
Orientation:
Required orientation, application, and interview.
Availability: After school on weekdays, weekends, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Vacation. Volunteers can work on a one-time basis or commit to a regular schedule.
