Volunteer Requirements:
Age: Must be 14 years or older.
Job Description: Volunteers work in the following areas: reading
and writing letters for residents, visiting with residents, delivering
mail and refreshments to residents, escorting and transporting residents
to and from activities, and assisting the residents in group activities.
Orientation: Required.
Availability: Prefer students to make a three-month commitment,
but there are events that students can volunteer for on a one-time basis.

Volunteer Requirements:
Age: Must be 13 years or older.
Job Description: Volunteers can work with the Programs & Activities
Department where they will work directly with the residents. Volunteers
also escort residents to Mass, Physical Therapy, and Doctors appointments
within the building, or they can assist in the cafeteria.
Orientation: One hour required orientation.
Availability: After school on weekdays, weekends, during Winter
Break, Spring Break, and Summer Vacation. Students must commit to volunteer
for at least 10 hours, but a commitment of 20 hours is preferred.

Job Description: Volunteers can work as a "Friendly Visitor"
in the following areas: Activities and Special Events Helpers, transport
residents to and from events, read to residents, organize and play games
with residents, play cards with residents, and write letters for
residents. Artists, craftpersons and musicians are welcome to share
their talents.
Orientation: Required.
Availability: After school on weekdays, weekends, during Winter
Break, Spring Break, and Summer Vacation.

residents, act as a shadow in the Recreation Department of the Health
Center, and provide one-to-one friendly visits.
