Sanctuary: The Center of Our Church
The Altar of Christ, Altar of Love

The focal point of the Cathedral is the sanctuary, and the focal point of the sanctuary is the altar. In this Virtual Tour, we have journeyed from outside the Church into the Body of Christ through baptism, we have traveled through salvation history and seen the ministry of Jesus and His great sacrifice of love, then celebrated His resurrection and what this means to our lives, and we witnessed the Holy Spirit and the Apostles laying the foundations of our Church.

We have been on a Journey to Faith, and it culminates every time we participate in the celebration of Mass with our parish community. The great event that takes place in the sanctuary, where we are one with the rest of the Body of Christ, is the heart of our worship, and it beats with strong love for God and for each other in a rhythm of unity empowered by the Holy Spirit.

This is why active participation in community worship is crucial to our spiritual and emotional wellness.
