The stone panel on the left shows Jesus telling the parable of the Good Samaritan. This account, which is in Luke 10:25-37, used to be read on the 12th Sunday after Pentecost and is now read on the 15th Sunday of the Year.

VISUAL CATECHISM

The panel on the right depicts the Triune God in Glory. The four corners contain the symbols of the four evangelists: Matthew (Winged Man); John (Eagle); Luke (Winged Bull), and Mark (Winged Lion). The text is from Matthew 28:18, which is read on Trinity Sunday.
