Across the nave on the south side, the journey continues toward the cross.
On the left is the Last Supper, commemorated on Holy Thursday. Jesus lifts high the cup containing what has become His blood as the Apostles watch, except Judas (right) who looks away. The text is taken from Saint Paul's account of the Last Supper (I Corinthians 11:25): "This chalice in the New Testament in My Blood."
The panel to the right shows Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus begins His agony by praying to the Father, while Peter, James and John, unable to remain awake, fall asleep. The text is taken from Mark 14:34), in which Jesus asks His disciples to remain with Him.

Do you remain with Jesus through trials? He remains with you!
