The focal point of the Chapel is the altar over which stands a statue of Saint Joseph. Click on this photo for a close-up.

The inscription on the marble altar, Prosper O Lord our God the Work of our Hands, is taken from Psalm 89.

Surrounding Joseph are symbols that remind us he is head of the Holy Family,
protector of the Universal Church,
patron of a happy death,
and a role model for workers.

Below his statue are carvings of David (an ancestor of Saint Joseph), Mary with Jesus, Saint John the Baptist and Abraham (an ancestor of David). These people are also found in the stained glass windows of this chapel.
