The stone panel to the left is from Matthew 46-50, in which Jesus' Mother and relatives approach Him while He's teaching a large crowd. Jesus uses the opportunity to point out that all those who do the will of the Father are mother, sister and brother to Him. This reading used to be read during the third week of Lent.
The stone panel to the right shows a composite scene taken from Luke 11:14-28, which used to be read on the third Sunday of Lent. On the left side of the panel are the demons that Jesus has cast out of the mute and into the swine who throw themselves off the cliff. On the right hand side is a woman who praises the womb that bore Jesus. His answer, in the text below, tells her the real reason for that praise and joy.
