Going up the stairs, the windows show us Pope St. Gregory the Great (born around 540 AD), who reformed Church music and introduced Gregorian chant, and Luigi Palestrina (born 1525), one of the great composers of Renaissance Church music. They are here representing both ancient and modern influences on Church music.

Farther up the stairs are windows of the fine arts and the liberal arts. These are shown because they have contributed to and gained from the Church's mission. Click on Luigi's quill pen in his window above to see them.
