The ceiling, which contains acoustical material to help the sound is painted in warm red, green, and blue hues which enrich the gray stone on either side.

Care was taken to ornament the ceilings in the same contemporary manner as the structure itself.

Along the sides of the nave itself are the fourteen Stations of the Cross. Carved on location in stone by Italian sculptor Theodore Barbarossa, they are about seven feet in height. Circling from the far left, these dramatic scenes spell out the main events of Christ's sorrowful journey on Good Friday from the judgement seat of Pilate to the borrowed tomb. Click on the first Station if you would like to see and pray these Stations of the Cross online (it will start in a new browser window, so you won't lose your place here).
